Ask your child to stand up straight.
Place the start of the tape measure at the natural waist.
Measure straight down to the feet, or to where you want the skirt or trouser hem to finish.
Choose the closest inch size to that measurement.
If your child is between two sizes, choose the longer size for more coverage.
