To the Person Wondering If They’ll Ever Find Their Person

You may not say it aloud, but the question returns in quiet moments: what if marriage never happens for me? You watch other people meet someone, get engaged and build the chapter you have been making dua for. You are genuinely happy for them, yet your own room can feel lonelier afterwards.

Wanting righteous companionship is not something to be ashamed of. But your worth is not waiting for another person to confirm it, and being single is not proof that you were overlooked. Do not turn your dua into a deadline that pushes you towards someone who costs you your peace, your dignity or your closeness to Allah.

Keep asking for a spouse who is good for your deen and character if marriage is good for you. At the same time, ask for a heart that remains whole while it waits. Build a life of worship, family, friendship, service and growth now. Loneliness deserves compassion, but it does not have to become permission to settle.

Do not postpone tenderness towards yourself until marriage arrives. Protect your boundaries, enjoy halal joy, deepen useful friendships, and let your identity remain larger than your relationship status or your waiting.

Ya Wadud, place wholesome love in my life in the way You know is best. Ya Hakim, protect me from choosing out of fear or comparison. If marriage is written for me, guide me towards sincerity, safety and barakah. If the wait continues, fill it with purpose, dignity and nearness to You. Ameen.
