Keep Something Beautiful Between You and Allah

There is something unsettling about doing good and realising part of you wants to be noticed. You helped, gave, learned, served or stayed patient, and imagined somebody knowing.

Do not panic at the discovery. Let it teach your heart.

In a life where almost everything can be shared, protect one deed from performance. Give quietly where appropriate. Make sincere dua for someone who may never know. Clean a shared space before anyone sees who did it. Learn a little Qur'an without turning progress into content. Help someone and resist the urge to make the kindness part of your public identity.

This is not a rule that every good action must be secret. Some charity, teaching and community work needs visibility. The point is to make sure your relationship with Allah contains more than what other people can scroll through.

Ikhlas is not a costume you put on after becoming perfectly pure. It is something you keep returning to. If praise has become fuel, reduce the audience and keep doing good rather than abandoning benefit altogether.

The akhirah changes the question. Not, “Who noticed me?” but, “What am I sending ahead?” That question can make a small unseen act feel large enough to matter without witnesses.

Choose something repeatable. A quiet gift. A private prayer. A task completed without credit. A kindness nobody can repay because they do not know where it came from.

Let your heart learn the relief of goodness that does not need to prove who you are.

Some of your most precious deeds can remain unbranded, unposted and known fully by Allah.
