Sometimes the pain is not what happened around you, but what changed inside you. You still know Allah is near, yet salah feels heavier, dua feels quieter, and the softness you once recognised seems buried beneath distraction, sin, tiredness, or a numbness you cannot explain. Distance can frighten you because you remember what closeness felt like.
Do not mistake that ache for a closed door. The One who guided you before is still able to guide you again. A heart can become distracted without becoming abandoned. Returning may begin quietly: one honest prayer, one page of Qur’an, one sincere istighfar, one moment when you stop pretending and tell Allah exactly how far away you feel.
Ya Al-Hadi, Guide of hearts, do not leave my heart to itself. If my choices have taken me away, wake me before distance feels normal. If sin has darkened my chest, cleanse it. If dunya has crowded out remembrance, loosen its grip. Make salah beloved to me again and let Your words reach places in me nothing else can reach.
Give me sincerity in tawbah, steadiness after repentance, and courage to return without waiting to feel worthy first. Protect me from shame that keeps me away from You. Let obedience become a place of healing, not performance. Hold my heart when it wanders, and teach me to seek You in ease, tiredness, weakness, and hope.
May Allah revive what has grown tired in you, remove what weighs on your heart, and make your return sincere, steady, and full of mercy. Ameen.
