Amani’s Reminders Tawakkul artwork: I Taught the Lesson. I Cannot Sit the Exam Inside Them.

A teacher can carry preparation, patience and honest feedback without carrying a student’s result as proof of personal worth. That boundary is part of tawakkul.

I Taught the Lesson. I Cannot Sit the Exam Inside Them.

I know the look on a student’s face when the paper begins. I also know how quickly their result can start feeling like a verdict on me.

Did I explain it clearly enough? Did I notice who was falling behind? Should I have stayed later, sent another resource, given one more practice question? Care can quietly become a belief that a good teacher should be able to secure the ending.

Teaching is an amanah. That makes preparation, patience, fairness, encouragement, and honest feedback matter. It does not make another person’s concentration, revision, circumstances, choices, or final answers mine to control.

There is a point where helping more is no longer teaching better. Sometimes it is my own fear asking to enter a room that belongs to the student.

Before the result arrives, I can review what genuinely belongs to me. If I missed something, I can learn. If support is still needed, I can offer it. But I do not need to turn every mark into proof that I was either excellent or useless.

Allah asks me to be faithful with the responsibility in my hands, not to become the author of every outcome that follows my effort.

So I will teach with ihsan, make room for questions, and keep improving. Then I will let the student carry their part.

Amanah is serious. It is not limitless. That distinction is where my tawakkul needs to begin.

That also protects the student. If I make their result carry my identity, my support can become pressure. I may overcorrect, rescue too quickly, or make their disappointment about my fear.

After the exam, I will ask what can be learned without making one grade carry more meaning than it deserves. Their growth needs a teacher, not a second system.
