Stop Begging Someone to Choose You

You keep giving more because part of you hopes they will finally see your worth. You wait for the message, the effort, the consistency, the clarity. You explain yourself again, forgive too quickly, and start measuring your value by whether another person is willing to stay.

Love should not require you to abandon your dignity just to keep access to someone. You can care deeply and still recognise when a connection is leaving you confused, neglected, or constantly anxious. Walking away from what repeatedly humiliates you is not the same as becoming cold. Boundaries can protect a soft heart.

Bring the need to be chosen back to Allah. Your worth is not created by somebody else’s attention, and rejection does not have the authority to define you. Ask Allah to free you from chasing what drains your peace and to help you make decisions that protect your deen, your self-respect and your emotional honesty.

Do not confuse intensity with sincerity or inconsistency with mystery. Healthy care is not perfect, but it should leave room for respect, truth and responsibility. Notice patterns, not promises, and let your decisions be guided by what repeatedly happens rather than what you keep hoping will change.

Ya Mu’izz, restore the dignity I misplaced while seeking approval. Ya Wakeel, help me entrust what I cannot control to You. Remove attachment to what is harmful, strengthen me to leave what repeatedly wounds me, and guide me towards relationships built on sincerity, responsibility and peace. Ameen.
