Being the Strong One Gets Lonely

People come to you because you know how to hold yourself together. You answer the call, solve the problem, comfort the worried person and say Alhamdulillah when someone asks how you are. But strength can become lonely when everyone assumes you never need holding too. There are nights when your chest is full of things you never say aloud, and being dependable starts to feel like being invisible. You can love being reliable and still feel exhausted by always being the person everyone leans on.

Allah sees the version of you that keeps going while your heart is tired. He knows the tears you wipe away quickly, the thoughts you push down, the responsibilities you carry, and the moments when you wish someone would ask if you are okay and wait long enough for the real answer. You do not have to perform strength before Allah. You can come to Him exhausted, confused and completely honest. Needing support does not erase the strength you have shown; it simply means you are human too.

Put the hidden weight before Him tonight. Say: Ya Latif, be gentle with the places in me that feel worn out. Ya Wakeel, I entrust to You what I cannot manage alone. Ya Rahman, send mercy into the parts of my heart that feel neglected. Give me courage to ask for help when I need it, wisdom to set limits, and sabr that does not require me to disappear inside everyone else’s needs. Ameen.
