When You Have Been Strong for Too Long

There is a tiredness that sleep does not completely fix. It comes from being dependable for too long, carrying private worries while still answering everyone else, and waking up already braced for what the day might ask of you. You can look functional and still feel close to empty.

Do not wait until exhaustion becomes collapse before admitting that you need care. Rest is not a moral failure. Asking for help is not weakness. Simplifying what can be simplified may be wiser than proving, again, that you can survive another difficult week.

Ya Al-Qawiyy, lend strength to the places in me that feel worn thin. Give me steadiness without making me hard, courage without making me reckless, and enough energy for the responsibilities that genuinely belong to me. Release me from the ones I picked up only because I was afraid to disappoint people.

Ya Al-Lateef, be gentle with the hidden parts of this tiredness. You know what nobody sees, the tears postponed, the worries swallowed, the moments I kept going because stopping felt impossible. Bring ease in ways I may not yet recognise.

Return to salah without demanding that every prayer feel emotionally powerful. Make dua without needing perfect words. Eat, hydrate, sleep, delegate, and seek medical or professional support when fatigue is persistent or concerning. Using the means Allah has made available is not separate from reliance upon Him.

You do not have to earn mercy by reaching breaking point first.
