WHEN YOU HAVE TO GRIEVE THE PLAN YOU WANTED

Sometimes the hardest loss is a future that never had time to become real. You had already pictured the room, the person, the work, the timing, or the ordinary days that would come after it. Then the plan changed, and your heart was left mourning something other people may never understand.

Tawakkul does not require you to call disappointment easy. You can trust Allah and still admit that letting go hurts. What matters is that grief does not become a verdict that your whole life has been ruined.

Ya AL-WAKEEL, I place this plan, and the version of me that was attached to it, in Your care. Help me release what is no longer mine without becoming bitter. Keep me from standing at a closed door until I forget the life still waiting behind me.

Ya AL-HAKEEM, when I cannot understand why the road changed, protect me from inventing answers about my worth or Your mercy. Give me courage to take the next responsible step, even before my feelings have caught up.

Let my salah become a place where I can bring the disappointment honestly. Put barakah in what remains, soften comparison, and teach me to recognise goodness even when it arrives in a form I did not rehearse.

I am allowed to miss the future I imagined. I do not have to live beside its absence forever.

I do not need to become excited about a different future immediately. Willingness is enough for today. Let hope return honestly, without making me deny what I lost.

A changed plan can hurt deeply without meaning Allah has abandoned your story.
