When Tomorrow's Test Has Already Happened a Hundred Times in Your Head

You have practised the manoeuvres, heard the corrections, checked the mirrors and replayed the routes. Yet the night before a driving test can make every lesson feel suddenly fragile. Anxiety promises that one more video, one more imagined junction or one more late practice session will finally give you certainty. It usually cannot.

Certainty is not the task. Safe preparation is. If your instructor gave you something specific to practise and you can do it responsibly, do that. Check your documents, know when to leave, prepare what you need, then protect the sleep your concentration depends on. Rest is not giving up on preparation.

Tawakkul does not mean deciding that Allah must give you the result you want. It means taking the means available to you, making dua, and releasing the demand to control an outcome that has not happened. A previous failed test is feedback, not prophecy. Somebody else's first-time pass is not your timetable.

Tomorrow, keep your attention local. Mirrors. Speed. Position. Signs. Other road users. One instruction at a time. If one moment feels imperfect, keep driving safely instead of mentally declaring the whole test lost. Let the examiner judge the drive that actually happens, not the one fear has already failed in your imagination. If anxiety is affecting safe driving, speak honestly with your instructor and get appropriate support.

If you pass, receive it with shukr. If you do not, let the result change your next plan without allowing it to define your intelligence, worth or future.
