When Your Mother Returned to Allah

Losing your mother can change the sound of the whole world. You still think of telling her something first. You remember the way she said your name, the ordinary advice you once heard every day, the duas she made, the food, the calls, the small routines that felt permanent. Then grief catches you in a supermarket aisle, a quiet room, a family gathering, or a moment when you simply want your mother. Even years later, a scent, a recipe, a voice note or a familiar phrase can bring her back to your heart in an instant.

Allah knows exactly what her absence has done to your heart. He knows the ache of wanting one more conversation, one more hug, one more chance to serve her. Grief does not make your sabr false. Tears do not cancel tawakkul. You can miss her deeply and still trust Allah, because trust is not pretending the loss does not hurt. Let yourself remember her with tenderness as well as tears.

Keep sending her your dua and your acts of goodness. Ask Allah to forgive her, have mercy on her, illuminate and widen her grave, accept her efforts, and raise her among the righteous. Say: Ya Rahman, shower my mother with mercy. Ya Ghafur, forgive what only You know. Ya Karim, honour her with Jannatul Firdaus and reunite us in a place where there is no final goodbye. Give my heart beautiful sabr and let my love for her lead me towards what pleases You. Ameen.
