WHEN SALAH ENDS BUT YOUR HEART HAS NOT CAUGHT UP YET

You say the final salam and your hand is already reaching for the phone. The prayer is finished, but your mind has sprinted back into messages, work, children, errands and whatever was waiting before you stood before Allah.

Sometimes the rush is real. Somebody needs you. A meeting is starting. A child is calling. But sometimes nothing urgent is happening. Stillness simply feels unfamiliar, so the next task wins before your heart has registered where you have just been.

Give one salah a gentler ending.

Remain seated for a short moment when circumstances allow. Make the authentic adhkar you already know. Do not chase an impressive routine. Let one phrase of remembrance receive your actual attention. Notice the urge to leave before you obey it.

Dhikr is not background noise for scrolling. It is remembrance of Allah. If your tongue is moving while your mind is already elsewhere, slow down enough to return.

Do not turn this into another reason to criticise yourself. Some prayers will end quickly because life genuinely requires it. The point is not to measure holiness in minutes. The point is to notice whether distraction has trained you to leave every prayer at the same speed.

Choose one prayer today. Put the phone slightly farther away. Sit long enough to remember Allah consciously. Then stand and return to your responsibilities.

The salah has ended. Your turning towards Allah does not need to end with the same speed.

DO NOT LET EVERY PRAYER END AT THE SPEED OF YOUR DISTRACTIONS.

Choose one salah today and protect sixty quiet seconds after it.
