DO NOT GIVE YOUR WHOLE COMMUTE TO WORRY

A commute can become a corridor where tomorrow's anxieties arrive early. Before you reach work, your mind may already be rehearsing difficult conversations, counting unfinished tasks, predicting criticism, or carrying problems that have not even happened.

The journey is real time from your life. Do not surrender all of it to worry.

Let part of the road become remembrance. Put the phone down for a few minutes. Make dhikr with attention. Ask Allah for steadiness before you ask yourself to solve the entire day in advance.

Tawakkul does not mean arriving unprepared. Think about what needs planning. Write down the one call, question, boundary, or task you must remember. Then stop making your mind hold the same thought twenty ways.

If you travel by train or bus, notice when scrolling is making your chest tighter rather than calmer. If you drive, keep your attention on the road and choose remembrance that does not distract you from safety.

You may still arrive to pressure. The inbox may still be full. Somebody may still be difficult. Dhikr is not a promise that the day will become easy. It is a way of refusing to enter it as though Allah is absent from it.

Protect the next salah before work begins deciding the shape of your whole day. Let the adhan interrupt urgency when its time comes.

Your commute does not have to be productive in the world's sense every minute. Some journeys can simply return your heart to its proper direction.

Arrive having remembered who you serve before remembering everyone who wants something from you.
