There are nights when your mind runs ahead of your life. You think about money, health, marriage, family, children, ageing, responsibilities, unanswered questions, and everything you cannot control. Fear turns the future into a dark hallway where every closed door seems to hide another worry. Your body is here, but your thoughts are living inside imagined tomorrows.
Planning wisely is part of responsibility, but fear can keep planning long after anything useful is left to do. When that happens, remember that tomorrow has never been outside Allah’s knowledge. What feels unknown to you is already known to Him. You are not required to control every outcome before you are allowed to live faithfully and gratefully today.
Ya Al-Wakil, I place what I cannot control in Your care. Calm the fear racing through my thoughts. Protect me from imagining disaster until I become too drained to notice the mercy in front of me. Give me tawakkul that changes how I live, not only words I repeat while panic still rules my chest.
Help me do what is responsible today and release what belongs to You alone.
If difficult days come, meet me with guidance, sabr, and people who help me carry them. If goodness comes, let me receive it with gratitude and humility.
If I am fearing something that never happens, free me from paying for imaginary pain in advance.
May Allah guard what lies ahead, calm the fears that steal your present, and teach your heart to move through uncertainty with trust, wise effort, steady hope, and gratitude. Ameen.
