Your worship does not need an audience tonight

You open your phone for one reminder and suddenly feel behind. Someone has finished more Qur’an. Someone shares a long qiyam routine. Someone has a beautiful schedule for every hour, and the simple worship you planned begins to feel embarrassingly small.

Close the comparison before it steals the night.

Surah al-Qadr tells us that Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months. Its worth is not increased by how impressive your worship looks online. Other people’s good deeds may encourage you, but they are not a scoreboard for your sincerity, capacity or relationship with Allah.

Choose one act tonight that nobody needs to know about. Read Qur’an after the screen goes dark. Make istighfar quietly. Give charity privately if you can. Make dua for somebody who will never know you mentioned them. Stand in qiyam without imagining how the moment would look to anyone else.

Your capacity may look different from somebody else’s. Work, illness, caring responsibilities or exhaustion can shape what is realistic tonight. Do not spend precious minutes resenting the worship you cannot do. Offer Allah the sincere worship you can, with presence, humility and hope.

Private worship is not automatically superior, and public encouragement is not automatically insincere. The question is what your heart is seeking. If sharing genuinely benefits people, there can be good in that. If a deed starts feeling incomplete until it is photographed, praised or compared, protect it from the audience.

Do not become trapped inspecting every intention until you stop worshipping. Notice the drift, correct your direction, and continue.
